I just spilled cranberry juice all over my keyboard.
Now, this may seem inconsequential, clumsy, and ridiculous to mention, but I took it as an omen. You see, I've had this idea for my blog for some time, but, true to my character, had been putting it off over and over. So when fate punished me just as I closed out my own blog, thinking "nah," I took action. Meaning this very ill-formed post.
Well, I'll start with an introduction. I'm Emily, I'm a junior at a Massachusetts high school, and I have no ideas about college.
That's not entirely true. I kinda have an idea- a very ambiguous one, passed down through foggy wisdom from friends, older cousins, falsely authoritative articles, and the occasional overly enthusiastic relative. Not the most unbiased or knowledgeable sources.
So, my imaginary readers, this will be my grand collection of information! Mainly for my own purposes, but please, have a look around at my poorly designed web page and leave a comment or two! Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures and video tours of school visits and such, along with reviews of some books by the "experts".
Phew, I'm boring myself! In all seriousness, the decision of where I'll go to college will be the first adult decision I will make in my life, and to be honest, I'm overwhelmed- and I have a year to go! But it's at least a little comforting to know that I'm not alone.
Also in all seriousness: my computer's fine, thank you for asking. I just wish that splotch in my screen would go away....
